What we model

We model walls, structure, doors, windows, and ceilings directly on the point cloud, with equipment included where the project needs it. The model reflects what the scanner can see.

Level of development

Level of Development (LOD) describes how much information a model element carries, not how accurately it was measured. LOD 200 elements are approximate in size and shape. LOD 300 elements have specific dimensions and locations. We model to the LOD your project calls for.

Accuracy

Point accuracy and model accuracy are separate numbers. Our scanners capture points at 2–6mm at typical interior scan distances. A model built from a 3mm point cloud can support ±1/4” on most elements and ±1/8” where the geometry is clean and unobstructed. Our accuracy guide covers what those numbers mean on site.

What you receive

Ways to work with us

Most projects are scan-and-model packages, starting with a LiDAR scan. If you already have a point cloud, we can model from it. If your team needs 2D output instead of a 3D model, we can produce a plan from the scan data.

Where we work

We are based in Jacksonville, Florida, and regularly take projects in Gainesville, South Florida, and across Georgia. For the right project, the scanner travels.

How fast can we get a model?

In days, not weeks, for a typical project. The timeline depends on building size and the LOD you specify, and we confirm it with your quote.

Which LOD should we ask for?

It depends on how the model will be used. LOD 200 and LOD 300 are the most common for renovation work. Tell us what your team needs to produce, and we can help you choose.

Do I need BIM, or are as-built drawings enough?

Both come from the same scan data. This comparison explains when each one makes sense.
